My Drunken Poetry

I love you

Because I love you,

My weak fragile love.

They worship you

Because they hate

Someone or something else.

But all people and things

Have the artist in them.

This is why they lose

Their faith with wine.

Why I believe in you

Most when I'm drunk.

We both know, beloved

Love is bound by nothing.

But the world has rules

And the rules have rules.

Let us not fool each other,

Let us be honest.

Would you take my drunken poetry

Over their unison praise?
